Dr. Jay C. Larson is Board Eligible with the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons and an Associate with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
He was born and raised in Logan, Utah. Before pursuing his medical education, Dr. Larson spent two years in Thailand. He speaks fluent Thai and has a heart for the people and culture.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University in Public Health Education. Upon graduation he worked as a health promtion specialist teaching classes in diabetes, smoking cessation and disease prevention for Bear River Health Department. He then moved to the Phoenix area in 2004 to become part of the inaugural podiatry class at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
After his graduation in 2008, he moved to Grand Blanc, Michigan, where he completed a three-year foot and surgical residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center. There he received extensive training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma, as well as diabetic wound care and limb salvage. During his third year of training, Dr. Larson was selected to be Chief Resident and the resident representative on several hospital committees.
Dr. Larson is married to his beautiful wife, Jennifer, for over 20 years. They have three children: Aspen, Autumn, and Brighton. Dr. Larson is an avid landscape photographer and many of his photos can be seen displayed throughout the office. He also enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, mountain biking, hiking, reading but most of all spending time with his family.
